Winter Homeschool Resources

How is your winter homeschool routine going?

At the Peaceful Press, we are all about building connection through great books and projects, and winter is the perfect time to settle into a cozy routine of reading, creating, and resting.

Some of our favorite resources for this season are-

The Winter Guide- In the Winter Guide we read winter themed books such as:

Animals in Winter

Winter Trees

Snowflake Bentley

The Snowy Day

We also enjoy projects like making evergreen scented candles, measuring evergreen branches, and looking at fine art. If you are wanting to add more STEM learning into your winter routine, this is a wonderful resource that is perfect for preschool through elementary aged children.

Nourishing Nature Mountain Guide-This guide is part of Nourishing Nature Kindergarten program, but it can also be purchased separately. In this guide you will learn about several mountain ranges including the Rockies, Alps, and Himalayas, bake different kinds of regional breads, read beautiful books, and enjoy simple math and phonics activities. It's a wonderful resource for older preschool students through early elementary.

Some of the books we read with the Mountain Guide

Two Bear Cubs

Mountains of the World

Waiting for the Biblioburro

Chandra’s Magic Light

You can start any of our resources in January.

While our elementary resource The Playful Pioneers, The Precious People, and The KInd Kingdom have some Christmas activities scheduled around week 15 it's easy to incorporate them at any time of year.

Don't hesitate to ditch a program that is dragging your family down and start our life giving homeschool resources at any time of year.
