Have you ever wanted to pack up your children and fly to a far off place to learn and discover the world?

More often than not we aren't able to fly off to the rainforest or to the desert.

Some of us don't live near the ocean or close to the city and I don't think that any of us are traveling to outer space anytime soon either.

So, what do we do when we want to give our children the best adventures in education?

One of the best realizations that I have made as a home educator is that we can head to these places in our imaginations through the beautiful living books that we read which can help to fuel our children's desires to visit these far-off places.

In the meantime it can make these places seem not so far off, stir a desire within them to travel and adventure to these places, and fuel a desire to learn more about them.

We may never get to venture off with them to these places in person but we are able to transcend ourselves through time and places hand in hand with our children to learn and to discover.

There is so much knowledge and wisdom to be found in learning about these places and spaces within our very own homes. Even in these moments within our own four walls, we are making memories together with them that no amount of money could buy.
