Making Memories with Your Family This Christmas

We are a few weeks into our advent season, relishing the short and thoughtful readings from All Creation Waits and Unearthing Wonder, and the way these readings are highlighting the beauty of simplicity (share your #unearthingwonder advent images for a chance to be featured on our Instagram feed!).

I used the free Christmas planning sheet that we sent out via e-mail to decide which handcrafts, baking, gifts, and activities we wanted to focus on so that I didn’t get overwhelmed with too many expectations.

It’s easy to see all the amazing crafts and decor online and think that we need to do it all to make Christmas magical, but the most magical thing for our children is our attentive presence. I focus on a few special traditions, done with love, and then I put the blinders on so I can enjoy my children instead of constantly feeling that I should be doing more.
